Description
A press photo of Belvedere Gardens, East Los Angeles, 13 May 1926. The view is taken form a hill and looks westward on the unincorporated community, including houses, a few commercial buildings, and a large structure at the upper right which appears to be a school or another commercial structure. In the distance through haze is the skyline of downtown Los Angeles. A pasted-down caption on the reverse notes the population was 30,000 and that it was "the largest unincorporated community in the world: and was "without organization." A stamp and pencil markings are also present. With small stains on the reverse, fading, warping, and light soiling, the overall condition is good.
