Description
A press photo of Broadway, looking north from near Seventh Street, Brown Brothers, ca. early 1920s. The view takes in a crowded thoroughfare with a line of streetcars at the center and automobiles on either side, along with pedestrians on sidewalks and persons waiting for streetcars. Buildings on the east side of the street include those with tenants like the California Furniture Company, the Palace of Pictures and the Orpheum Theatre, with portions of other structures up Broadway. With corner losses, warping, a few small stains and some light soiling, the condition is fair.
