Description
A press photo of female hikers, Los Angeles Vacation Camp, San Bernardino Mountains, 5 January 1918. The view shows about ten women and two men, one pointing out towards the distance on a flat grassy area near pines and other trees with some mountain areas in the distance at the left. Typed on the reverse is "Girls on hike in Los Angeles vacation camp, San Bernardino Mts." There are two date stamps, including 5 January 1918 and 6 June 1923. The camp was located near Lake Arrowhead and is still owned by the city, though shuttered. With markings, small missing corner pieces, creases and rubbing, the overall condition is good.
