Description
A press photo of power plant number one of the St. Francis Dam, Los Angeles, 20 March 1928. The view of the concrete built plant shows it at the bottom of the hill. Rising from the plant are the penstocks climbing up the steep hill to a partially visible reservoir and dam on the other side. The plant has a rounded rectangle drawn around it, to focus the photograph. This plant was later destroyed in the flood. There is a typed inscription pasted on the reverse. The photograph is in good condition with minor warping and fading.
