Description
A press photo of the wreckage of a burned aircraft near Culver City, California, 29 April 1929. The view is of the steel framing for the craft, which has its nose in the ground in a broad field and tail almost vertical in the air. A Red Cross ambulance and another vehicle are parked to the left. A pasted-down caption on the reverse noted that three men were killed in the crash in the oat field and were owner and pilot William Oviatt, Jr., scenario writer Ray Scott, and actor Mack Fluker. With some soiling, warping and minor edge rubbing, the condition is overall good.
