A press photo, Pat Kelly in jail, Los Angeles, 9 August 1928. Kelly, described on the reverse as the mutilator and murderer of Myrtle Mellus, sits on a wooden bench with his eyes downcast. Surrounding him are the metal bars of a prison cell. According to the pasted, typed description on the reverse, this is the only picture of Kelly in jail, taken by a Los Angeles Times photographer. The photograph is in good condition with minor creasing and a fold at the bottom left.
