Description
A press photograph, "Night Scene of Los Angeles," International Newsreel, 14 June 1928. The image is taken from the top of the recently-completed Los Angeles City Hall and appears to look southwest. Streets are lighted and portions of many commercial structures are in view. There are cars parked along the streets and the aura of headlamps indicate traffic. In the distance are lights from outlying areas. On the reverse, a pasted-down caption describes the scene, with a note that Monday evenings were available for the public to get the scene from the observation room near the Lindbergh air beacon. A stamp for the press company and other markings are also of note. With some stains, paper residue, creases, and soiling, the condition is good overall.
