Description
A press photograph of a practice game between the Los Angeles Angels and Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles, 5 April 1922. The view shows Gabby Hartnett of the Cubs sliding into third base while Howard Lindimore of the Angels leaps high to try to catch a high and wide throw. An umpire moves close behind Gartnett on the play. The game between the major league Cubs and the Pacific Coast League Angels was played at Wrigley Field in Los Angeles. A pasted-down typed caption is on the reverse and there are stamps and pencil inscriptions, as well. With a small loss at the upper right corner, warping, and light soiling, the overall condition is fair.
