Description
A press photograph of a race car crash, Los Angeles, dated 17 September 1926. The image shows a car with its right passenger side rear wheel rolling away from the vehicle, the driver of which has his head turned toward the left. There is rough fencing on the infield, in which there are parked cars and some persons. In the distance are some low hills, but the photo is somewhat blurry. On the reverse is the stamped date and anothre stamp for the Daily Illustrated News newspaper. With a large loss at the lower right corner, edge tears, paper residue at the left, and a puncture at the top center, the condition is poor.
