A press photograph of a woman diving from a rock into a man's arms at the ocean near Los Angeles, ca. 1920s. The view shows Helen Baker in mid-air with arms spread wide and city lifeguard Jack Starns standing in the shallow water with his arms held out to catch her. A typed pasted-down caption describes the scene, noting Baker was with a group of dancers at Ocean Park at Santa Monica. A stamp from Underwood and Underwood is also on the reverse. With missing corner pieces, extensive creases, discoloration, and light soiling, the overall condition is fair.
