Description
A press photograph of Ocean Front Walk, Santa Monica, dated 21 September 1923. The view shows a car and a bicyclist on the ocean front street, a quartet of people in vathing suits on the sand, and a man seated on a bench next to the street. Part of the Purser Apartments building is at left, a tow line leading to the water is at the right, and a section of the Venice Pier is in the distance. A pencil inscription on the reverse reads "Most of the beaches south and west of Los Angeles have speedways close to the ocean." With other markings and a N.E.A. date stamp, the item also has some soiling, creases and rubbing, but is in good overall condition.
