Description

A press photograph of the Hall of Justice, Los Angeles, 1927. The image shows two sides of the eleven-story structure, which then housed the courts, jail and law enforcement offices. Built in 1925, the Beaux Arts building is composed of granite, columns of granite and marble, a colonnade of terra cotta panels, cornice caps, and facades. It was reopened in late 2014 after undergoing a long restoration and rehabilitation period. With minor warping, the overall condition is good.
