Description
A press photograph of Thomas W. Temple II and Lester F. Wilson, San Gabriel, August 1940. The image shows Temple at left looking at Wilson, at right, who made 169 candles (one for each year of the Mission San Gabriel's existence) for the annual fiesta held in early September. The image appeared in the 17 August edition of the Pasadena Post. Stamps and pen and pencil inscriptions are on the reverse. With warping, a major crease at the lower right and light soiling, the condition is fair.
