A press photograph of winning race car driver Leon Duray, Culver City Speedway, 24 March 1927. The view shows the victorious Duray seated at the wheel of his Miller Special, with a crew member in a snap-brim cap and cigarette in his mouth leaning over the driver. A few observers are in the background. A typed pasted-down caption on the reverse discusses the scene, noting that Duray averaged 124.7 miles per hour on the 250-mile race, defeating national champion Harry Hartz. With pencil marks, stamps, some stains, soiling and abrasions, the overall condition is good.
