Description

A print of Chinese men in San Francisco, G. Boulanger, 1862. Clipped from a French magazine, the print shows the pair in traditional clothing seated in sidechairs next to a bamboo table, with one of the men reading what might be a newspaper. The caption indicates that the two were bankers. On the reverse is a map of California from modern Orange County to the Oregon border and indicates that the image came from an article about San Francisco generally. With some foxing, soiling and creases, the overall condition is good.
