A print of two views of Puebla de Los Angeles, Mexico, from "Illustrated Travels"
Entry/Object ID
2013.56.1.1
Description
A print of two views of Puebla de Los Angeles, Mexico, from "Illustrated Travels," 1850. The views are from the west and east, with text on the reverse that mentions the town, which is not far from Puebla. This item was purchased because these images were used in an 1873 British publication that had text about Los Angeles, California, but were the wrong views--this latter being in the museum collection. With some creases, a dogeared corner and very light soiling, the condition is good overall.
