2022.3.2.28Description
A program for "The Mission Play," 1947. The program provides information regarding the play's 22nd season, pictures of California missions, summaries of scenes from the play, cast and other production staff members, and illustrations relating to the plot of the play. There is also an article regarding the refurbishment of the Mission Playhouse in San Gabriel, California. Several inscriptions are addressed to Juanita Vigare and Juan Zorraquinos, signed by Raymundo Gonzalez, Jose M. Rodriguez, Will H. Vedder, Peggy McHale, Adolph Perez, Jose Pineira, Richard Abbot, Bruce Walter, Harvey F. Hincks, Paul Craik, and Michael Montoya. Adhered material from another paper object and minor acid burns from adhesive tape indicate that there was likely a nonprofessional attempt to stabilize or repair this object. With minor stains, minor discoloration, minor creases, a minor tear along the spine, and edge rubbing, the object is in good to fair condition overall.
