Description
A program for the play "La Golondrina," 7 August 1922. The item contains listings of the cast and crew, a brief synopsis of the historical romance about Mexican-era California, written by John Steven McGroarty, author of the Mission Play, also performed at San Gabriel. Many of the cast members are from the latter, including Patia Power and her son Tyrone, who went on to be a top film star, as well as primary dancers Juan Zorraquinos and his wife Juanita Vigare. The item was removed from a highly acidic photo album, so that last page is badly damaged and there is a stain, some soiling and tears,so the condition is fair.
