A real photo postcard, "11485 The Main Street, Downey, Cal.," ca. 1910. The panoramic view, according to The Downey Conservancy, is believed to be on Downey Avenue, formerly Crawford Street, looking south from 3rd Street towards Firestone Boulevard, previously 1st Street. On either side of the unpaved road are commercial buildings, most one-story brick ones, though some two-story structures are also in view, while a few vehicles are parked along the thoroughfare. A message is on the reverse referring to the sender's residence in town and there is a postmarked of 14 November 1910 and a cancelled stamp. With some stains, soiling and edge rubbing, the condition is fair.
