Description
A real photo postcard, "El Monte Union High School, El Monte, Calif.," Anderson Photo Service, ca. 1920s. The view is taken from the street to one side and captures much of the front elevation of the Mission Revival structure, including arched walls and arched porticos, tiled roof, and a wide stairway leading to the entrance. A broad lawn, palm trees, deodar trees and a brass plaque mounted on a stone are at the front. Half the photo is lighter and the other darker and there is an ink inscription at the top margin indicating an owner had attended the school for their final two years. The unused card has minor soiling, and abrasions. It is in good condition.
