Description
A real photo postcard, "Fan-palm, Los Angeles," by Mary Workman, postmarked 22 December 1908. The view shows a large palm tree amidst an expansive lawn and garden with many oter tall trees, hedges and other plantings. Two persons are in the distance and, in the foreground, is a hose and faucet in the grass. At the bottom is an ink inscription with a Christmas wish from Mary Workman and this is presumed to be the family residence at Boyle Heights. The postally used card is addressed to Gertrude Lawson in Washington, D. C.. With soiling, minor foxing, mirroring on the left, and abrasions, the condition is good.
