Description

A real photographic postcard, "Interior of Sleeping Room of a Two Room Bungalow, El Reposo Sanatorium, Sierra Madre, Cal." ca. 1910s. The facility treated patients that had diseases of the throat and lungs. In the room there is a chiffonier with a mirror, a couple of wooden chairs, a small table, and a bed. On the bottom left of the image is a number 1658. The postcard was published by Benham Company, Los Angeles, Cal. Print states that the postcard was made in California. There is abrasion damage along the top edge, and a stain on the left edge. There is some loss to the superfical layer of postcard backing, possibly due to silverfish on the bottom area on the reverse side. Also, the backing shows moderate discoloration, and writing in pencil. Aside from the noted damage the postcard is in fair to good condition.
