Description
A real photo postcard, "Irrigating in Cal.," by D.H.P., postmarked from Azusa, California, January 1913. The image shows a young man in overalls and work clothes and a shovel in his hands standing over furrows of water in a row between mature orange trees. The caption is written just below the man. On the reverse is a message making brief reference to a bumper crop of oranges, presumably from the grove depicted. With ink on the upper left margin of the image, a stain and soiling on the reverse, moderate darkening of the image, and edge abrasion, as well, the overall condition is good.
