Description
A real photo postcard, "Montgomery's Country Inn," Beam, Los Angeles, postmarked 15 July 1922. The image shows the Cotswold cottage-inspired restaurant with its uneven steeply-pittched roof, Tudor details and other features with some women, probably employees in "Colonial" type uniforms near the entrance. On the back is a message to someone in Wales from "Joe" who wrote "This is the Road House where I am." The inn is now the Tam O'Shanter Inn in Atwater Village. With some ink seepage from the postmark and cancellation, light soiling and minor rubbing, the condition is good overall.
