Description
A real photo postcard, "New Casino Catalina Island," ca. 1929. The view is from the hills on the west side of Descanso Canyon overlooking the Spanish Colonial Revival-style Hotel Saint Catherine, where the Descanso Beach Club is now located, and looks toward the casino opened on 25 May 1929 at Sugarloaf Point. In the distance is the hill at the east end of Avalon. With album paper residue, light soiling and minor rubbing, the overall condition is good.
