Description
A real photo postcard of a classroom of Hudson School, Puente, ca. 1918. The image shows a teacher standing in the backround behind 21 students, who appear to be from the earliest primary grades, perhaps first and/or second. Part of a chalkboard is at left with storage cabinets along the wall behind the teacher. Potted plants, framed items and a poster on a door with reference to women buying war savings stamps and an image of Joan of Arc with a statement that she saved France are also of note. The card was not used so the reverse is blank. With moderate soiling and very slight warping, the condition is good.
