Description
A real photo postcard of a float at the Tournament of Roses, Pasadena, Beam, 1 January 1922. Taken from above the crowd along one side of the street, the view takes in a float consisting of an open car with four curved section of flowers and plant material peaking over the seating area, in which is Los Angeles mayor George Cryer and his wife, as well as a driver. At the top in white is "Pasadena Rose Tournament / Mayor of L.A." as well as the photographer's surname and address. In pencil on the reverse is "1922." The unused card has moderate fading at the right and bottom, minor soiling and abrasions. It is in good condition.
