Description
A real photo postcard of a floral-decorated carriage at the parade for the Elks national convention, Los Angeles, postmarked 17 June 1907. The view shows a man and woman dressed in white, the lady holding a parasol and the man what looks like a decorated cane, sitting on a single horse-drawn carriage that is decorated in carnations. To the right are some spectators and part of another vehicle is at the upper left. Street numbers on adjacent commercial buildings are from the 600 block of an unidentified street. The hard-to-read message indicated the vehicle won a first prize at the event. With some silvering, light soiling and moderate edge rubbing, darkening, the condition is fair overall.
