Description

A real photo postcard of a house in Los Angeles, March 1914. The photo was taken from the street and shows the residence, which stood at 336 W. 21st Street, now the campus of Los Angeles Trade Tech. The building has a highly eclectic architecture with shingled siding, thick round porch columns, a bowed second-floor balcony over the porch, a projecting hipped roof over the balcony, and a small witches' hat at the right. Two palm trees, a lawn, walkways and other landscaping are of note. The address is written in ink at the bottom. On the reverse is a message indicating the location of the sender's room, but the card was not mailed. With some minor soiling, abrsions along the edge, and fading, the condition is good.
