Description

A real photo postcard of a Los Angeles church, postmarked 8 July 1913. The view is of the shingle-sided church with a corner entrance and bell tower, leaded windows, and basement on a corner lot. A street sign at the corner shows Vernon Avenue, but the other street's name is not visible, aside from the abbreviation "Ave." A message on the reverse refers to a meeting at the Los Angeles Y.M.C.A. for a ministers' association executive committee and the sender lived at 4166 Normandie Avenue, which is a few blocks north of Vernon. Likely, the church was in that area of Vernon near Normandie. With some moderate soiling and light edge abrasions, the overall conditoin is good.
