Description
A real photo postcard of a mother and baby boy, George Steckel, Los Angeles, ca. 1900s. The image shows the woman wearing a thin lace veil and a dress of a similar material. She holds her baby boy within the veil and he has no clothing from the waist up. The image evokes something of a Madonna and Child feeling. On the reverse in pencil is "Ruth," and Steckel's cartouche is at the bottom left of the front. The postally unused card has some staining, soiling and edge rubbing and is in good condition.
