Description
A real photo postcard of a Tournament of Roses parade float in front of the Hotel Green, Pasadena, C.C. Pierce and Company, 1 January 1909. The view shows the flower-bedecked vehicle, led by two horses draped in mantles and sponsored by Pasadena banks, moving in front of the hotel, while crowds line the sidewalk. The year "1909" is written in pencil at the top margin, and the hotel name and date are on the reverse of the unused card. Pierce's stamp is on the left of the reverse, as well. With light soiling and minor edge rubbing, the condition is good.
