2013.413.1.1Description
A black and white, real photo postcard of "Adobe Floresta," a house in Los Angeles, postmarked 13 December 1923. The small one-story bungalow has portico entrance, a small center porch and much landscaping, including a lawn, walks, trees and other plantings. Reference is made in the message to an avocado tree at left and that "it sure grows." The postcard was sent for the holidays. It inculdes information about the building which was still under construction and of the undetermined work in Beverly Hills, the need for labor there, perhaps for house construction. This residence has the address of 225 Lake Shore Terrace near Echo Park, but it appears the house no longer exists. With minor soiling, moderate creases and edge abrasions, and fading, the overall condition is fair.Lexicon
