Description
A real photo postcard of an oil field at or near Los Angeles, postmarked 2 August 1929. The image shows a forest of wooden derricks with associated tanks, sheds and other structures mainly in the background with some larger tanks and structures in the foregound. Typed at the top is, "Los Angeles scenery exquisite. / No clouds. No rain. / Sorry the fist's so weak." On the back is the recipient's name and Los Angeles address. With a major vertical crease in the image, some soiling at the top and moderate abrasions, the overall condition is fair.
