Description
A real photo postcard of an orange ranch at Whittier, postmarked 4 March 1909. The view is taken from amidst some orange trees and looks towards the Puente Hills. Between the photographer and the hills is a ranch house, surrounded by more fruit trees. Barely visible atop the hills at the right are some oil wells. At the bottom left is an ink inscription: "A Whittier Calif view." On the reverse is another reference to "orange groves and oil wells at Whittier." With light soiling and minor edge rubbing, the condition is good.
