A black and white, real photo postcard of Avalon, Santa Catalina Island, Crescent Photo, ca. 1928. The view is from the west side of the harbor and takes in two Wrigley steamers. There are many other watercraft in view, as well as part of the beach, portions of the yacht club and fishing club structures, and many buildings along Crescent Avenue. The road leading along the steep slope of the east end of the harbor, shows a bath house, and some of the newer houses built on the terraced areas of that east slope. Finally, at the top of that east side is Mt. Ada, the Wrigley residence. The town name and state and the photography studio's name are in white at the bottom. The unused card has two very small stains on the reverse, minor soiling and some corner warping and abrasion but is in good overall condition.Lexicon
