Description
A real photo postcard of aviator Archibald Hoxsey, postmarked 5 January 1911. The image shows the pilot in his flying gear including a leather jacket with fur color, cap and aviator glasses. The message refers to his death at an air meet in Los Angeles about a week prior and noted that the Michigan recipient saw Hoxsey at a Detroit meet. With some edge rubbing and moderate soiling, the condition is good.
