Description

A real photo postcard of Rincon Falls in San Gabriel Canyon, California, by E. H. Gray, postmarked 16 June 1907. The image shows the falls, about several dozen feet high, cascading down in a medium-sized stream from a steep rocky area. Written on the original negative is the camption "RINCON FALLS, CAL./ PHOTO BY E.H. GRAY." At the bottom margin is an ink inscription describing Camp Rincon as at the west fork of the San Gabriel River, fourteen miles from Azusa. On the reverse is a short message, and address to South Pasadena, postmarks from Azusa and South Pasadena, and a one-cent stamp. With some soiling and edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.
