A real photo postcard of Signal Hill oil field, ca. 1920s. The image is taken from the side of a dirt road and looks toward a low hill, on which are about two dozen oil derricks, tanks and associated structures. At the bottom left is the ink inscription "Signal Hills" and, in pencil on the bottom margin, "Let Earl see this." The card, however, is postally unused. With some light soiling and minor edge rubbing, the condition is good.
