Description
A real photo postcard of the B. F. Goodrich tire factory, Los Angeles, postmarked 4 November 1928. The Spanish Colonial Revival structure shows a corner tower entrance, two-story shorter wing (presumably for administration) on the right, and the very long single-story wing at the left (assumed to be the factory area.) At the bottom is a printed message about leaving the factory after a conference on the "Goodrich 1929 Plan." On the reverse is a brief message from one company to employee to another in Blythe, California about a visit "with our new program." The plant, completed in 1928, was located at 5400 E. Olympic Boulevard in City of Commerce. The location is now the site of the Telacu Center building. With a few small stains, minor soiling, corner warping and edge abrasions, the overall condition is good.
