Description

A black and whtie real photo postcard of the bomb-destroyed Los Angeles Times building, October 1910. There is a large crowd of observers in the street near the site, where smoke rises from the bombed-out building and parts of the nearby structures and the paper's logo, an eagle statue, are also in view. The building was bombed by union extremists in the early morning hours of 1 October, killing 21 and wounding more than 100. James and John McNamara later pleaded guilty for their role in the terrorist attack. With stains on the reverse, soiling and slight rubbing, the overall condition is good.
