Description
A real photo postcard of the exterior of the Nichols Grocery store, Los Angeles, postmarked 3 October 1914. The view shows the entrance with its side display windows and entrance set back from the street. A man stands behind a tobacco products case at the left and another man, wearing a vest, shirt and tie, trousers and straw hat leans against the window display at the right. A bread basket, newspaper rack and other items are also at the front. The business name is on the windows and the street number "604" is over the door. A message from C.H. Nichols, probably the proprietor, is on the reverse and is dated 1 October 1914. With minor soiling and edge abrasion, the condition is good.
