Description

A real photo postcard of the Gaylord Apartments, Los Angeles, ca. 1920s. The view shows much of the eleven-story building, completed in 1924, from across Wilshire Boulevard. Notable is the large awning across the street entrance, individual units with window awnings, and the fire escape at the left. A car is parked on Wilshire near the photographer. A caption is at the bottom left and the card, made in Germany, is unused. The apartments are still there now. With minor soiling and edge abrasions, the condition is good.
