Description
A real photo postcard of the pier at Newport Beach, California, ca. 1920s. The view seems to be taken from a side of the wooden edifice which curves as it juts out into the water. It is filled with people, many of whom are watching as canoes are being readied, it seems, for launch into the ocean. Two young girls in the sand near the canoes look at the photographer. At the bottom left is a caption in white reading: "Pier / Newport Beach Cal." With minor warping, light soiling and some edge rubbing, the condition is good.
