2012.260.1.1Description
A real photo postcard of the Pratt residence, Harvard Boulevard, Los Angeles, postmarked 27 August 1906. The image is taken from the street and shows the front and one side elevation of the wood-sided one-story bungalow, which has a three-quarters porch to the right side of the front, thick casement windows, and a stone chimney. Vertical boards at the attic area stand out, as well. Some of the lawn, bushes and shurbs around the house, and walks are also of note, as is a newly-staked tree in the grass median by the street. The family name and street are noted in an ink inscription on the front and the address, stamp and postmarks are on the reverse. With ink stains at the top left of the photo, discoloration, other soiling and edge abrasion, the condition is fair.Lexicon
