2013.561.1.1Description
A real photo postcard of the Trowbridge residence, Redondo Beach, California, 1912. The view shows the front of the wood-sided one-story home with a full-length front porch, windows with decorative panels and a variety of landscape elements including grass, walks, bushes and shurbs, and palm and other trees. In pen on the reverse is, "Trowbridge home / 1912 Redondo Beach / Calif. / Ross lived here 6 yrs." This is probably the house of Cyril and Etna Trowbridge, who rented at several addresses in Redondo Beach between the 1900s and 1920s. Cyril was a butcher, as was his brother Charles in the same community for a time. With some staining, mainly on the reverse, moderate fading, and soiling, the condition is good overall.Lexicon
