Description
A real photo postcard of the view from the driveway to the Silver Peak Guest Ranch, Walnut, California, ca. 1920s. The photographer stood on the unpaved driveway, flanked by a neatly-trimmed hedge at right and manicured lawns, trees, vines and bushes at the left. In the distance is the San Jose Valley and San Jose Hills to the north of the hillside resort, which was southwest of the today's 60 and 57 freeways interchange. The facility name and location are at the bottom in white. The unused card has an AZO stamp box, dating it to between 1918 and 1930, and an ink inscription describes the view. With edge browning, soiling and edge abrasion, and mirroring on the bottom left corner, the overall condition is good.
