Description

A real photo postcard of the Wilshire Drug Company building, Los Angeles, ca. 1920s. The image is taken catty-corner from the three-story Art Deco-style structure which has the drug store in the lower floor. Cars are parked next to the building and parts of the intersection, with the street in front of the photographer assumed to be Wilshire Boulevard, are also in view. On the reverse is printed information about the structure being designed, built and financed by The Austin Company of California, Ltd. and giving its address and phone number. An inscription notes that the writer's office was in the building, though the card is unused. With a major split on a vertical fold, as well as some soiling and edge abrasion, the condition is fair.
