Description

A real photo postcard, "Richfield oil District," ca. 1920s. The view is from the middle of a dirt road that meanders through rises in the landscape. On either side are derricks, sheds, and other structures. Some large structures, stacks of pipe, a small coupe, and some orange trees are also of note. On the reverse of the unused card is a pencil inscription, "this is oil wells/ at Richfield 2 mi / east of Placentia." With much soiling and staining, including some of the latter at the top of the photo, and moderate edge rubbing, the overall condition is fair.
