Description
A real photo postcard snapshot of a man sitting on a rock or outcropping adjacent to the Los Angeles River, ca. 1915. The scene is in an undeveloped area, almost certainly to the north and west of downtown Los Angeles in the lower portion of the San Fernando Valley. On the reverse is an ink inscription reading "Frank L. Gilman / Los Angeles River." With some light soiling and edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.
